Angeline Kuznia D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Kuznia is a 1999 graduate of the University Of Florida College Of Dentistry. After graduation, she was commissioned as a Dental Corps officer in the United States Navy. During her 10 years of active duty service, she was stationed at Great Lakes, IL, Mayport, FL, Bethesda, MD and NAS Jacksonville. While in the Navy, Dr. Kuznia attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander. She completed postgraduate training of a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency and an additional 3-year residency in Periodontics at the National Naval Medical Center ("The President’s Hospital") in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Kuznia finished her naval career as the Periodontist for NAS Jacksonville. She resides in Jacksonville with her husband and two children.

Dr. Kuznia is a board-certified periodontist. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Periodontists who have achieved the title of Diplomate marks a significant achievement beyond the mandatory education requirements of the specialty. Board certification requires:

  • Certification as a dentist, including basic college education and completion of dental school to earn the D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree
  • Certification as a periodontist after at least 3 years of postdoctoral study in an ADA approved program. This period of study is concentrated on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of periodontal disease. Board certification requires comprehensive oral and written examinations covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment, including dental implants.
